CHARITY QUILT DAY

Back by popular demand, I am preparing kits using the pattern “Oh My Stars” by Pat Sloan.

We are very flexible about Charity Quilt Day. You can sew the kit provided, bring your own project, or help someone sewing. At our March Charity Quilt Day, we had several individuals being “helpers”. I heard several say that this was a fun way to meet people by being a helper (cutting, ironing, “running”, whatever was needed.) Whatever you choose to do, I will have kits available.

Please let me know if you plan to attend. You can register online or you can sign up with me by phoning, texting, or emailing me. I will also have a signup sheet at the morning and evening meetings. WHEN: Saturday, July 25, 9am – 2:30 pm. You can come for an hour or stay the entire time. WHERE: We will meet at the Trini Mendenhall Sosa Community Center at 1414 Wirt Road.

WHAT TO BRING: A plate or dish of food to share for potluck lunch (sandwiches, casserole, fruit, dessert, salad) A spill proof mug. Please bring your own beverages. Basic sewing equipment, thread, pins, scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, and possibly a cushion for your chair. Sewing machine, extension cord.

This is not a member only event. If you have friends who would like to attend, please feel free to invite them.
