(Joins us In Person)
Orphan Quilts
AKA the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Lisa Erlandson, a multitalented and entertaining, compulsive quilt collector, will share her lecture Orphan Quilts – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly (subtitled Bless Her Heart, sub-subtitled What Was She Thinking?)
A humorous look at some of the results of our quilting ancestors. How did some scrap quilts come out looking so great, while others seemed so horrible? Design elements, as well as hue and color value, will be discussed.
On Wednesday she’ll be sharing her workshop: Becoming a Quilt Doctor
Do you have the desire to “rescue and render aid” to damaged quilts? Is there a point where you must stop all life support? Learn basic quilt repair techniques as you work on a “practice” project in class.
Lisa is a quilt historian, a published author, a certified AQS quilt appraiser, an AQSG designer, a quilt retreat owner as well as a quilt show judge! You are not going to want to miss this month!
